You've Got Questions, We've Got Answers
Are you considering joining us for a White Water Rafting tour? Incredible, we’re happy you’re here. Whether you’re brand new to rafting or you’ve enjoyed your fair share of rapids, we want to make sure you feel informed and excited about your tour. So, we don’t want to leave any of your questions unanswered. This “Know Before You Go” information will paint a nice, clear picture of what you can expect before, during, and after your tour. Here’s what you need to know!

Rapid Guide
On our Kananaskis White Water Rafting tour, you’ll experience Grade 2-3 rapids, which are the perfect mix of thrills and family-friendly fun. Rapids on this scale have moderate, consistent waves that are big enough to keep everyone on the edge of their seat, but still approachable for most ages and experience levels. This makes our tours accessible to beginners and adventurous families alike while giving those looking for a thrill a memorable ride. The international rapid grading system ranges from Grade 1 (gentle waters) to Grade 6 (nearly impossible to navigate), so our Grade 2-3 rapids offer just the right amount of excitement for all.
For those who want an extra dose of adrenaline, our skilled guides know how to turn up the excitement! One of our signature moves at White Wolf is “Surfing,” where the guide skillfully maneuvers the raft to stand almost vertically in the water, creating a thrilling, splash-filled experience you won’t forget. Our guides adapt the level of excitement to fit the group’s comfort, making sure everyone has an unforgettable time on the river.
What We Provide
You might be wondering what on earth you’re supposed to bring and wear for your tour. Don’t worry, we don’t expect you to have any rafting gear at all. While there are a few things we’d suggest bringing along with you, we set you up with all of the essential gear. On top of that, you can trust that our gear is all new, high-quality, and meticulously checked throughout the day to ensure everything is in perfect working order. Here’s what we provide:
- Life jackets
- Wetsuits
- Helmets
- Neoprene booties
- Paddles
- Cold refreshments & light snacks
- A USB of professional photos after your tour
- And, of course, the raft

What You Bring
Now, let’s talk about what you might want to pack for your tour. When you arrive at our office, you’ll be sized and fitted with your gear and you can get changed there. The only things that are mandatory to bring along are a bathing suit and towel as well as a backpack or bag to hold your things. If you come in your bathing suit, bring underwear to change into when you leave. If you come in your clothing, then you’re good to go. As for everything else, all optional tiems are up to your discretion. Please be aware that everything and anything can fall in the water and risks getting lost. If you want to bring a camera or wear glasses or jewellery, for example, know that these items are your responsibility and there is always a chance that they can get damaged or lost. Here’s what we suggest bringing:
- Bathing Suit – Required
- Towel – Required
- Backpack or Bag – Requested
- Fleece Sweater or Hoodie – Optional
- Thin thermal top and bottoms, non-cotton material – Recommended
- Sunglasses – Optional
- Subscreen – Optional
- Camera – Optional (remember, we provide professional photos, so this isn’t necessary)
